The "Queen of the Dolomites", with its majestic glacier, always gives great emotions to those who want to try their hand at climbing to the highest peak of the Eastern Dolomites: Punta Penia 3343m.

 

 

Where do we start from?

From the Fedaia Pass. We will begin the ascent towards Pian dei Fiacconi on foot up to the front of the glacier where we will put the crampons and we will tie up to the top through the "normal route". The summit will offer an incomparable 360 ​​° panorama of all the Dolomites! We will stop for lunch at the small refuge of Punta Penia and we will always return to the via Normale in a rope with the Alpine Guide.

 

What difficulty will the exit have?

The total altitude difference of about 1200 m, the progression on the glacier and the altitude require adequate physical preparation. Overall difficulty: high.

 

How long will it take?

The trip will last a total of about 6/8 hours.

 

What material will I need to have with me?

In addition to clothing and suitable for the high mountains, you will need to have a harness, crampons, a traditional ice ax and a helmet with you. It is possible to rent all the equipment upon notice to the Alpine Guide.

 

How much?

110 € per person (min.3 people). The cost includes the accompanying activity of the Alpine Guide

(does not include, rentals, transport, food, or anything else expressly indicated in costs).
